Description

These small, soft rectangular servers are, to be accurate, sharpened ovals. Ovaltangles! They are a joy to make and decorate. They invite a host of serving opportunities; hors d’oeuvres, biscuits and pastries, posh chocs, moreish nibbles of all kinds!

Wood-fired salt-glaze, rouletted rim with blue/black slip and a shino glaze to centre. Wheel-thrown and altered stoneware, fired to 1300*C. The pot is fired on refractory wadds, hence the numerous decorative halos to it’s base. This serves to elevate and separate the pot from the shelf to prevent it binding and to keep the dish flat.
