Netherlands ‘Young Clay’ exhibition
From now until 22nd September 2013, I have a selection of new work on an exhibition tour, entitled ‘Young Clay’, beginning at a gallery and museum in the Dutch town of Tegelen. I’ve included a small selection of functional work, alongside some of my new large slab-built bottles. For more information, visit the gallery’s own website.
It’s an exciting line-up, and in the words of the organisers:
‘ An exhibition of innovative and idiosyncratic ceramics from England. The participants explore each in their own way, the possibilities of clay. They are inspired by culture, traditions and nature. They use a wide range of techniques, from slipware to moulding. From richly flowing glazes to skins as only nature can make them. What connects them all is the personal and free way of working with clay.’
