Pots and Food fest’ review

Side plate by Jeremy Steward wood-fired salt-glazeHosted by Geoff and Pat Fuller alongside their legendary Three Stags Pub, Derbyshire, the weekend of 14th & 15th September marked the 2nd year of Wardlow Mire’s ‘Pots and Food Festival.’ The concept is simple but first-rate, the combination of high-quality local food producers, alongside some of the best UK functional studio pottery. The event had grown since it’s inception last year, hosting more makers and an additional display marquee. Complimenting the food and pots for sale, Michelin star chef Rupert Rowley, demonstrated his skills, the food from which he displayed beautifully on some of the pots being exhibited. Despite the adverse weather that swept in on Sunday, it was a truly fantastic weekend in a stunning location. Those scotch eggs and hand-made chocolates are too good to miss, already looking forward to next year!
