Description
Wood-fired salt-glaze, decorated with textured roulettes, porcelain slip under willow ash glaze. Wheel-thrown stoneware, fired to 1300*C. The pot has been fired on the top shelf, so it’s been hot, and had a rich blast of salt and fly-ash. Hence the wonderful maturation of glaze surface.
This small elegant teapot serves 2 of my large mugs, or 3 of my small mugs or Petra’s beakers; a volume of approximately 800ml. The inside of the lid flange has a little lip which holds the lid securely in place whilst pouring, without the need to hold on to the top of the lid.
