Description

This ‘Migration’ plate is wheel-thrown in black stoneware. It makes a perfect dinner plate or pudding plate, for everyday and special occasions alike. The motifs are created with a latex resist between slip and ash-glaze. It is wood-fired and salt-glazed to 1300*C. The pot is fired on refractory wadds, hence the decorative halos to it’s base. This serves to elevate and separate the pot from the shelf to prevent it binding.
