Cirencester Pop-up Exhibition opens

Exhibition invitation for Shuffling sidewaysI am delighted to announce that our ‘Shuffling Sideways’ exhibition begins this week in Cirencester Brewery Arts Pop-Up Gallery, and is open daily until 8th July, 9am – 5pm Mon-Sat. & 10am – 4pm on Sundays. Jeremy, Mariette and Nigel warmly invite you on the evening of Saturday 30th June, for light refreshments, and to view and discuss this brand new range of exciting work. 4pm – 8pm. The week following the private view, I shall be in the gallery from Wednesday 4th until Sunday 8th.

In stark contrast to the warm hues of his earthenwares, Nigel Lambert exhibits thrown and wood-fired porcelain with rich cobalt blues and enamel reds. A visit to the gallery will unveil a common theme in all of Mariette Voke’s oil and watercolour paintings. Her focus on larger watercolours brings about a new and refreshing spontaneity of line and colour. The walls are also hung with a group of my own new porcelain wall-lights, along with a range of complimentary wood-fired salt-glaze stoneware and porcelain; mainly the new slabbed and coiled pots but a few smaller thrown ones too. I’ve described in more detail the work that makes up my part of this exhibition in another post.
